Elen Evans

My name is Elen and I am a graduate in Natural sciences and a highly experienced and qualified English teacher. I love teaching English as a foreign language in all its guises – academic, exam preparation, teacher training and general English. I am the founder of an enterprise that teaches science to children through English (STEM Ginger Education) and trains and supports non-native teachers to teach their specialist subject through English (CLIL).

I love travelling and I love a challenge. I have embarked on a sail across the English Channel, swum across lakes in Slovenia and Austria and swum with sharks.

Academic Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences
• B2 DELE in Spanish
• A-levels in Maths, English and German

• DELTA – Diploma in English Language Teaching to adults with Cambridge Assessment at the British Council, Italy.
• CELTA – Certificate in English Language Teaching to adults with Cambridge Assessment at St.Giles College, UK.
• CELTYL – Certificate in English Language Teaching to young learners with Cambridge Assessment at International House, Spain.

Experience

I have taught English and worked as an oral examiner (Cambridge, IELTS) for the British Council and International House in the UK, Italy, Portugal, Egypt and Spain. I write and deliver CLIL teacher training courses that are recognised by the Spanish government. I teach English to all levels from beginner to proficiency, including exam preparation courses (IELTS, PET, FCE, CAE and CPE).
