My name is Oliver Sutton and I live in a small village in the Pyrenees mountains in the north of Catalonia, Spain. I moved to Spain in 1999 after a a period working in London in the field of mental health. I started teaching English in Barcelona that year and since then I have worked in a variety of language schools and universities and I have taught all ages and all levels. When I teach private classes I enjoy working closely with the student to adapt the class to their objectives and their learning style. In this way I try to make sure that the student finds the classes stimulating and that they see concrete results from their investment of time and money.

Experience
I have been working as an English teacher since 1999 mainly in Spain, but also in the UK and the United States. I have worked in a variety of different language schools and universities and have built up a lot of experience with different levels, ages and approaches to teaching. In general, I favour a student-centred approach in which the teacher is responsive to the specific needs of the student.
In addition to my English teaching work, I have also been designing and teaching university-level courses at several international institutions in Barcelona since 2010.
