Upgraded Dashboard and Faster Access

The New Learning Platform

Why are you changing the platform?

To give our students a better experience in learning English, to provide more choice and more courses. Many students have asked us about receiving a certificate of completion which we will now be able to offer, as well as additional downloadable extra learning materials.

Is the new platform an app?

No, the new platform is not an app as such, so you will not find it in Google Play or App Store.

However, it has been designed with mobile first in mind and it is fully responsive and the user experience from a mobile device is optimal.

What’s new on the new platform?

New technology to deliver your lessons faster and to give you more learning opportunities – to see all the latest new features please see here.

I have completed courses. Will I lose all my course history?

No. Once you are in the new learning platform you will keep your learning history and you will be placed at the last lesson you took. But remember, you can always take other courses and change level at any time.

Account Access

Why do I need to reset my password?

Your privacy and security is our top priority and so in the transition to the new learning platform you will need to reset your password.

Student Plan & Pro Plan

Why are you introducing different subscription options?

Because you asked us to! Some students only want lessons, other students want lots more practice and a certificate. Some students want more specialist courses so we have created different plans. But you can change plans at any time. Your maximum commitment to any plan is just 1 month.

Check Our Plans  page to understand all the  benefits of each plan.

How long do I need to stay on a plan?

There’s no commitment to stay in a plan. If you join one of our subscription plans your minimum commitment is 1 month.
The renewal will happen automatically every month and you can cancel your subscription at any time.
If the subscription is not renewed we will place you on the FREE Plan, but you will still be able to access all features in your plan until the end of your monthly subscription.

Will I be able to practice listening and reading?

Yes! All subscribers (Student and Pro) can access our listening and reading practice exercises. These materials have been specifically developed by our teachers for you

Can I have a dedicated teacher to help me?

At the moment we hold regular facebook live practice sessions where you can interact via facebook comments with your teacher.

We are working on developing new features within our learning platform so you will be able to practice other language skills in a more personalised way and we plan to offer live 1 to 1  and small group lessons in the future.

Certificates

Can I get an IELTS or Cambridge Examination Certificate from Perfectly Spoken?

Unfortunately neither we nor any online provider of courses can provide officially recognised certificates at the moment. The reason for this is simple: security. So, at the moment, a student must go to a physical centre (and there are thousands around the world) where they can take the exams under close supervision.

It is certainly our plan to become a recognised Preparation Centre for Cambridge and other organisations and already our lessons are used by many many students to help them prepare for official exams.

Can I get a certificate of completion?

Student and Pro subscribers will receive an official Perfectly Spoken Certificate of Course Completion when they complete a final Course Assessment and they have a pass rate of 70% or more.

This Certificate will show the  final result (%) of the last Course Assessment taken.

What is the 'Course Assessment'?

This is a final course test that will enable Student and Pro subscribers to receive an official Perfectly Spoken Certificate of Course Completion when they take it and they achieve a pass rate of 70% or more.

We recommend you practice for this end of course test by taking all the lesson tests and studying the extra materials.

You can take this test as many times as you like.

When you are happy with the results, you can request to get your Certificate of Course Completion.

This Certificate will show the  final result (%) of the last Course Assessment taken.

Downloads & content use

Can I download the videos?

No, they are streamed only. Please note the lessons and all associated materials are © Perfectly Spoken.

Can I have downloadable materials?

Subscribers to the Student and Pro plans can download extra materials that are attached to the Review lessons. Each review lesson contains 1 Grammar Sheet + 1 Vocabulary Bank that are downloadable as PDFs.

Please note that course lessons and all associated content is the copyright of Perfectly Spoken Limited.

What is the best way to learn with Perfectly Spoken?

Good question. Students can learn and improve their English in different ways because our system is so flexible.

Have a look at these TOP TIPS to help you understand the best way for you to learn

Top Tips

How to make the most of Perfectly Spoken

Advice from students and teachers

Take the level test.

It’s free and takes just 10 minutes

It’s not perfect but it will give you a good idea of which course you should start your English language learning journey with at Perfectly Spoken

Focus

You can learn on your mobile on your laptop but like most things that are good for you.
You need to make sure you can focus on the lesson and not have too many distractions; so try and find somewhere quiet where you can concentrate

Watch and watch again

As with many things, the second (or even third ) time of us doing something, that thing becomes easier to understand –easier to do! So watch and watch the lesson again, pause and think about the content.

Test yourself

Your teacher will often ask you questions during the lesson so stop the video, think about the answer and even write it down and then continue the recording.

If you get something wrong, go back and watch again and test yourself again.

Finally, when you are ready to do the lesson test, think very carefully about your answers. You can take the tests again but the first time you do it is the most important one. (Please note tests are available as part of the Student and Pro Plans)

Establish a routine

On average we suggest taking 2 lessons a week for you at your level, but remember you need to make sure you understand everything and do the lesson test before you move on to the next lesson.

Practice with us with Live lessons

At the moment we offer free Facebook live lessons every week which give students a chance to practice and interact with our teachers – your teacher. You should take advantage of these. Even if you can’t attend the live lesson, you can always watch the lesson at a later time

Check for the upcoming sessions in the EVENTS section of our fanpage.

In the future we will be offering lots more exciting opportunities to practice.

Experiment

Although you can start more than 1 course at a time, we recommend you start and follow one at a time.

It’s a good idea to watch each lesson in order in the course to make good progress. But, remember you can change courses at any time if the course is too easy or too difficult

And of course you can watch ANY lesson of at any level… so experiment!
